Grilled Chicken with Honey Garlic Balsamic Glaze

Honey Garlic Balsamic Glaze Over Grilled Chicken

A simple classic honey garlic balsamic glaze that goes well with chicken, pork, or even a drizzle over tomatoes.

I’m in awe when ingredients like balsamic vinegar can be reduced to something sweet and tasty. With some patience and TLC, this glaze will amaze, I promise! The kids like to dip grilled chicken into something, usually ranch dressing. Not my favorite kind of meal. My pickiest eater doesn’t really like chicken. His name should have been “Mikey,”… like the kid from the old Life cereal commercial. So when he gets his dinner in front of him, he takes a bite and then goes for the second bite- that’s when I think to myself, “score!”

This simple classic balsamic glaze over grilled chicken is one of my go-to meals because I always have these ingredients on hand. Most importantly, everyone in my family likes it!

Store leftover glaze in a glass jar for a week, and it’s great on salads, especially tomatoes!

Ingredients

Scale

4 medium chicken breast

2 cups Balsamic Vinegar

2 tablespoons Raw Honey

2 Cloves of Garlic, chopped

1 tablespoon Olive Oil

Salt and Pepper

Instructions

FOR THE GRILLED CHICKEN:
Brush chicken breasts with olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Grill over medium-high heat for about 8 minutes on each side until fully cooked and no longer pink on the inside.

FOR THE BALSAMIC GLAZE:
At medium heat, add olive oil to a non-stick skillet and add chopped garlic. Cook garlic for about 3 minutes until soft.

Add the balsamic vinegar and turn to low and start to simmer. Continue the simmer, occasionally stirring for about 12-15 minutes, until it reaches a syrup consistency.

Add the raw honey and stir to combine.

Slice the chicken into 1/4 inch slices and drizzle with the honey garlic balsamic glaze.

Notes

To make this recipe candida friendly, omit the honey.
